Opener Phil Salt was in great touch once again, hitting 89 runs from 46 balls to help England to lead series 1-0 over Ireland.
England play under the Youngest Captain Jacob Bethell, he took over as captain after Harry Brook out. Jacob bethell is the youngest ever captain England in international cricket at the age of 21.
His captaincy debut was characterised by a level-headed after choosing to bowl first on a green-tinged pitch after overnight rain.

Ireland bat first and scored 196/3 in 20 overs. Harry Tector scored 51 from 34 balls, Lorcan Tucker scored 51 from 35 balls. After this fireworks skipper Paul Stirling scored 34 from 22 balls. Final 3 overs they scored 45 runs, with a final-ball six by George Dockrell.
England Openers Phil Salt and Jos Buttler gave good beginning with 74 runs off 28 balls. Salt scored a 89 runs from 49 balls, Buttler contributed 28 runs from 10 balls.
England get Struggle after Salt’s dismissal for 89 and a small wobble when England lost three wickets in 10 balls. Finally England reached targetted score 197/6 in 17.4 Overs.
This was England’s first T20I win against Ireland, there is no-result in 2010 and a rain-affected DLS defeat at the 2022 T20 World Cup.
