American’s Jessica Pegula fourth-round clash with American compatriot Ann Li to win 6-1, 6-2 on Sunday.
She is moving with ruthless efficiency to close it out in under an hour. Last year’s runner-up Jessica Pegula had a poor run-up to the tournament and get early exit from Washington, Montreal and Cincinnati.

The 31-year-old Pegula has yet to drop a set in New York and put up a dozen winners on Arthur Ashe Stadium as she found her power from the baseline. The fourth seed, who had already defeated by Ann Li in their second-round clash at Roland Garros earlier in this year. She followed a similar strategy at Arthur Ashe Stadium racing to a hot start by taking the first three games.

She will next plays with Czech Barbora Krejcikova for the clash of quarterfinal.
Jessica pegula said,
“I felt really comfortable moving today and I felt like today I started off really well and I just wanted to keep executing that.”
Li broke Pegula from the baseline in the fourth game to get on the board, but the world number four Pegula quickly regained control by converting another break point in the very next game.
Ann Li conceded the opening set with a backhand error in the seventh game and gifted Pegula an early edge in the second, pushing another shot long on break point to fall behind in the fourth game.
Pegula erupted in the winning celebration after sealing the win with a stunning backhand down the line, booking her first Grand Slam quarterfinal of the year.
