IPL 2026: Ajinkya Rahane Rs.12 lakh fine for KKR’s slow over rate against CSK

IPL 2026 – Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) Captain Ajinkya Rahane has been fined Rs.12 lakh for maintaining a slow over-rate during its Indian Premier League match against Chennai Super Kings.

In the IPL 22nd Match Kolkata Knight Riders played against Chennai Super Kings and KKR lost by 32 runs. At that they maintaining a slow over-rate, for that they got Rs.12 Lakh fine.

CSK bat first and scored 192/5 in 20 overs with Sanju Samson 48(32) , Ayush Mhatre 38(17) and Dewald Brevis 41(29). KKR moved towards the target of 193 runs, but batters did not play well and fell 160/7 in 20 Overs.

IPL Media said,

“Kolkata Knight Riders Captain Ajinkya Rahane has been fined after his team maintained a slow over-rate during 22nd Match of the TATA IPL 2026 against Chennai Super Kings at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.”

“This was his team’s first offence of this season under Article 2.22 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct, which pertains to minimum over-rate offences, Captain Rahane got fined INR 12 lakhs.”

The next match of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) take on Gujarat Titans next in Ahmedabad on Friday. Chennai Super Kings will play against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 18th in the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
