World No.1 Jannik Sinner made a powerful start to his quest for a first-ever French Open title, he defeating French player Clement Tabur by 6-1, 6-3, 6-4 to move into the second round on Tuesday.
Match playing under the lights on Court Philippe-Chatrier in Paris, Jannik Sinner completely controlled the match. His aggressive baseline game using incredible depth and pace to keep Clement Tabur under constant pressure. The Italian bring calm, focused and unstoppable throughout the contest.
Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz got injured and missing the tournament. Sinner entered Roland Garros Tournament as the clear favourite and he certainly played like one.

The 24-year-old was already cruising towards a comfortable straight-sets victory as the sun set over Paris. He arrived at the tournament riding an impressive 29-match winning streak, during this he had lost only three sets. Earlier in this tournament he also completed his collection of Masters 1000 titles.
Playing against French Tabur, Sinner showed no signs of weakness and sent a strong message to the rest of the field with his dominant performance.
Jannik Sinner made a kick-flying start to the match, breaking serve in the opening game to take a quick 2-0 lead. Sinner continued his dominant play by breaking Clement Tabur once again to move 4-1 ahead in the first set. A powerful forehand winner wrapped up the set as the Italian cruised through the second set with ease.
Loud support from the Court Philippe-Chatrier crowd, Tabur playing his second Grand Slam main draw. He showed his play with more confidence and freedom in the third set. The World No.171 produced several impressive shots that excited the home fans happy and briefly tested Sinner’s composure.
Sinner showed a few moments of frustration after missing some returns and failed a couple of baseline errors. But the World No.1 quickly get regained control and his powerful groundstrokes and consistent accuracy.
