Pakistan tour of Australia, 2023-24 : Australia Team Squad announced for Melbourne Test, Lance Morris released. In the first test match Australia crushed Pakistan by 360 runs inside four days at Perth on Sunday. Off-spinner Nathan Lyon reached his 500th wicket in his carrier.

Australia has moving his track to play an unchanged XI playing in the second Test against Pakistan in Melbourne, Fast bowler Lance Morris has been omitted from this squad.

The 37-year-old Australian Opener David Warner hit a 164 runs in 211 balls to ensure his place to retained for the Boxing Day Test, what he is expected to be his farewell series.

Chief selector George Bailey said,
Lance Morris has been released for the 2nd test Melbourne match but will stay prepared for Test cricket as he remains firmly in our plans for the summer, should an opportunity arise.”
