Suspension and Clostebol Controversy

Sinner had previously served a three-month ban this year after reaching a settlement with WADA.Officials accepted that the presence of the anabolic steroid clostebol in Sinner’s body was unintentional, tracing it to therapeutic massages administered by Naldi at the Indian Wells tournament in March 2024.

WADA appealed an August 2024 decision by an independent tribunal that cleared Sinner, taking the matter to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). However, the tribunal ultimately determined that Sinner was not at fault or negligent.

I Needed Some Clean and Fresh Air

Jannik Sinner said,
“Speaking candidly at last year’s US Open about his decision to the part ways with Ferrara and Naldi.”

“Now, because of these mistakes, I am not feeling that confident to continue with them. I was really get struggling a lot in the last months. I was waiting for the result. The only thing I need right now is some clean air.”

After placing responsibility for the incident on Naldi, Ferrara went on to work with Matteo Berrettini in the months that followed.

The 23-year-old Sinner recently made a headline with his impressive back to form. After he reaching the French Open final, where he lost to Carlos Alcaraz, he revenged the defeat by beating the Spaniard to claim his first Wimbledon title 2025.
