Australia enter the tournament well-prepared after a successful bilateral series against hosts India.

Women’s World Cup Defending champion Australia is in a “great spot as a team” as it finalises preparations for the upcoming Women’s ODI World Cup Which is in India, said by skipper Alyssa Healy.
In her third World Cup as captain, the wicketkeeper-batter believes the team has struck the right balance and benefited from crucial time together.
Alyssa Healy said,
“We couldn’t be more excited to be over here in India finalising our preparations for the upcoming 2025 World Cup. It is a great place to play and somewhere we are all reasonably familiar with.”
“Playing against India in a three-match ODI series offers us the chance to adapt and sharpen our preparations.”

Healy underlined the team squad’s balance as a key strength.
“Our team squad is incredibly well balanced with plenty of youth players to complement with more experienced players. Some of them has be their first ODI World Cup. They all had exposure to major tournaments and high-pressure series.”
The return of left-arm spinner Sophie Molineux, after overcoming a knee injury, comes as a major boost for the side.
We know consistency will be key, with every game carrying importance. The group is excited for the challenge and eager to get started.
