South Africa tour of Australia 2025 team player squad has been announced for 3 ODIs and 3 T20s which is starts on Aug 10 – Aug 24.
All-rounder Glenn Maxwell and Steve Smith both have retired from ODIs, but the latter was named in the T20 squad, which will face South Africa in two matches in Darwin and another in Cairns.

The 23-year-old all-rounder Mitch Owen still awaiting for his ODI debut, impressed with 125 runs and two wickets as Australia completed a 5-0 T20I sweep over the West Indies in the Caribbean earlier in this month.
Mitch Owen got rewarded for his fine form in his first five T20 internationals by being named in both of Australia’s squads for the short-format series against South Africa in next month.
Mitch Marsh will lead both the T20 and ODI squads in place of regular 50-over captain Pat Cummins, who along with pacer Mitchell Starc will miss the series. For this Mitchell Marsh will lead the ODI and T20 squad as well in the absence of Pat Cummins.

Batter Travis head and Pace bowler Josh Hazlewood return to both squads as Australia continues its preparations for the upcoming T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka early next year.
George Bailey Chief selector said,
“As we build towards the T20 World Cup, the flexibility and depth shown in the West Indies and outside of the obvious results has been a huge positive.”
“The flexibility in the batting order and the versatility of our bowlers to operate at various stages of the innings were particularly encouraging to see.”
Top-order batsman Marnus Labuschagne and Wicketkeeper Alex Carey were included in the ODI squad only, along with fast bowlers Xavier Bartlett and Lance Morris.
