Australia captain Alyssa Healy announced on Tuesday that she will retire from cricket in March, following the team’s home series against India bringing an end to her illustrious career.
Alyssa Healy has played almost 300 matches across all formats, blasting more than 7,000 runs and taking 275 dismissals.

The 35-year-old wicketkeeper-batter has enjoyed a 15-year international career after making her debut for Australia as a teenager.
In her carrier she has played nearly 300 matches across all three formats, scoring over 7,000 runs and effecting 275 dismissals.

Alyssa Healy said,
” It is with mixed emotions that the upcoming India series will be my last match for Australia.”
“I am still passionate about playing for Australia, but I have somewhat lost that competitive edge that is kept me driven since the start, so the time feels right to call it a day.”
“It has been an incredible honour to represent my country and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to play one last series in the green and gold.”
Healy Appointed Australia’s full-time captain in the year 2023 after Meg Lanning, Healy etched her name in history by leading the side to a remarkable 16–0 whitewash of England.
Considered one of the most destructive batters and best wicketkeepers in world cricket, she played a key role in eight World Cup triumphs.

After spending time in the commentary box during Australia’s recent 4–1 Ashes thumping of England, Healy is expected to transition into a broadcasting role.
The upcoming February-March series with India including three T20s, 2 one-day and a one-off Test in Perth, Healy will play only the ODIs and the Test.
