Jannik Sinner, Novak Djokovic and Jack Draper announced a withdrawal from a upcoming Canada Open 2025 which is starts at 27 July – 7 August.

In this 2025 year National Bank Open Presented by Rogers runs from July 27 to August 7 at Sobeys Stadium in Toronto.

Wimbledon champion Jannik Sinner, 24-time Grand Slam title winner Novak Djokovic cited elbow and groin injuries respectively for their withdrawals from competition.

The World No.1-ranked Sinner cited his right elbow injury, which he hurt in a fall in the 4th round at the All England Club on the way to his first title there and fourth major trophy. Finally he won his first Masters 1000 title in Toronto in 2023.

Djokovic suffered a groin injury, due to this he withdrawal from an event which he has won four times. He lost to Sinner in the Wimbledon 2025 semifinals.

Jannik Sinner said,
“I am really get disappointed to be missing the National Bank Open 2025 in Toronto, especially as I have such fond memories of playing in Canada”.

“Winning that title in Toronto two years ago was the start of a really a special moment for me, but after speaking with my team, I have to recover some”.

Australian Alexei Popyrin won the 2024 Canada Open 2025 Championship singles. Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos won the 2024 Canada Open 2025 Championship doubles.
