Alexander Zverev was born on April 20th 1997 in Hamburg, Germany. His family deeply connected to sports, especially tennis. His parents, Alexander Zverev Sr. and Irina Zverev, were both professional tennis players from the former Soviet Union. His older brother Mischa Zverev also went on to become a successful ATP player. Zverev Growing up in such a sports oriented environment, he picked up a tennis racket at the age of three and was coached by his father from the beginning.
He showed his remarkable talent and passion for the sport at his early age, and his tall frame and strong work ethic made him stand out among his peers. In the childhood he competed in many junior tournaments and was widely regarded as a tennis prodigy. He trained primarily in Germany but also spent time abroad to further develop his skills.
He starts his tennis training at a very small stage, and he used to practice tennis at least half an hour per day. In his beginning stage he played hockey and football but later at his age 12 he decides to focus on tennis.
