Delhi Capitals entered the IPL 2026 auction with a purse of Rs.21.80 crore and eight vacancies to fill, it including five overseas slots. This gave the franchise ample flexibility to fine-tune a squad that already featured a solid core. Focusing on strengthening both their batting and bowling units, the Capitals adopted a balanced approach.
The auction witnessed several high-profile deals across franchises. Australian all-rounder Cameron Green stole the spotlight after being acquired by Kolkata Knight Riders for a record Rs.25.20 crore, making him the third most expensive player in IPL history.
Auqib Nabi emerged as Delhi Capitals’ biggest signing of the night, with the Jammu & Kashmir pacer being picked up for a hefty Rs.8.40 crore.
The Delhi Capitals were also active in filling their overseas slots, securing the services of openers Ben Duckett and Pathum Nissanka, pacers Lungi Ngidi and Kyle Jamieson, along with experienced middle-order batter David Miller.
