Serbian Novak Djokovic expecting to back in his fullform in the Australian Open 2024 after defeat by Alex de Minaur in United Cup quarterfinal.

Novak Djokovic suffered by wrist injury, due to this he lost against Alex de Minaur in the United Cup 2024 Quarterfinal.

After six years Novak Djokovic suffered his first defeat in Australia as De Minaur on 2-0 win over Serbia in their United Cup quarterfinal.

ATP World No.1 Ranker Novak Djokovic defeat by World No.12 Alex de Minaur (Australia) in the United Cup Quarterfinals by 6-4, 6-4 on Wednesday.

Djokovic, who had under treatment on the wrist injury, told a press conference,

“I knew that probably, (I was) not going to be expose 100% physically, emotionally, mentally game-wise in the opening week of a season. Neither I did expect that”.

“I was not on play my level best but it was just one of these days where I didn’t feel my best on the court, and my opponent played very well.”

“I think I will be okay, to be honest.”

“Wrist injury did have quite an impact, particularly on the forehand and serve. But I have more time, I think enough time to get myself in the right shape to ready for the Australian Open 2024.

“It’s not unusual. The process is not strange to me. I have been faced this kind of situation many times and I know what I need to do along with my team to get myself ready. I hope very well that I will not be injured this time around.”

“This has we are going to work on and get my body in the right shape, optimal state, so that I can perform at the high level throughout hopefully the 2024 entire Australian Open.”

In this 2024 Australian Open will be scheduled between January 14-28, 2024.
