A three-time Italian Open champion Iga Swiatek faced fifth seed Pegula on centre court and defeat American Jessica Pegula by 6-1, 6-2 to enter Semifinals.
After this victory Iga Swiatek has set up a clash with 10th seed Elina Svitolina in the Semifinal centre court.

Iga Swiatek gave another indication that she might be back to her brilliant best after destroying Jessica Pegula 6-1, 6-2 on Wednesday and breezing into the Italian Open semifinals.
A place in Saturday’s final is on the line with reigning Coco Gauff waiting for the winner of the highly anticipated semifinal clash at the 2026 Italian Open.
Poland’s Iga Swiatek continues her top form on clay after a difficult match in this season. The four time Roland Garros champion has not lifted a clay-court trophy title since latest French Open crown.

Norwegian Casper Ruud Reaches Rome Masters Semifinal
In the men’s draw Norwegian Casper Ruud advanced to his first Masters 1000 semifinal since winning the Madrid Open last year. Ruud defeated Russian Karen Khachanov by 6-1, 1-6, 6-2 in a quarterfinal match which is heavily affected by rain delays in Rome.
The 25th seed Casper Ruud will fight with 20th seed Italian Luciano Darderi in the Semi-final on 15th May.
In the other side Italian Luciano Darderi beats Rafael Jodar. Another semi-final Italian Open match Romanian Sorana Cirstea will face American Coco Gauff in the Centre court.
