Jacob Oram name has been announced the new bowling coach for New Zealand, Shane Jurgensen will step down from the position in November.

Governing body New Zealand Cricket said,

“Former New Zealand Crickter Jacob Oram was appointed as bowling coach of New Zealand, taking over the role vacated by Shane Jurgensen in November.”

Jacob Oram began his coaching carrier in 2014 as a bowling coach with New Zealand A team, and move the role of New Zealand women’s team bowling coach in the year 2018.

He has supporting the team through to the end of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in New Zealand in 2021.

Oram said,

“I am really excited to have the opportunity to be join with the Blackcaps again. To be back involved with a team that means, a big part of my life is a real honour.”

“I had been a great insight into where this team is going and I am really excited to be continue that work in the upcoming seasons.”

“I hope that I can share my full knowledge and experience to help to prepare the team for the challenges of international cricket. I was delighted to be appointed as the new role.”

In his 11-year international career he played 33 Tests, 160 ODIs and 36 T20Is and featured at three ICC ODI Cricket World Cups and four T20 World Cups.
