Toni Kroos makes a quick comeback to the Germany squad after a nearly three-year absence, as confirmed by the nation’s football association.
Last month, the Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos disclosed his intention to end his international retirement.
The 34-year-old Kroos opted out of selection following Germany’s exit from the postponed Euro 2020 tournament. However, he has now reversed his decision after discussions with the new coach, Julian Nagelsmann.
Nagelsmann, the former Bayern Munich boss who assumed the leadership of national side last September, has named Kroos in a 26-man squad for upcoming friendlies against France and the Netherlands.
