IPL 2024 – Lucknow Super Giants fast bowler Shivam Mavi has been ruled out for this 2024 IPL season due to his ongoing struggle to recover from a rib injury.
In the year 2023, Shivam Mavi didn’t participate in any matches for Gujarat Titans. However, in this year auction, Lucknow Super Giants acquired him for 6.4 crore, aiming to replace Avesh Khan who departed for Rajasthan Royals.

The 25-year-old right arm bowler, who hasn’t competed in cricket since August 2023, he missed out the entire domestic season for Uttar Pradesh. After that he joined Lucknow Super Giants(LSG) pre-season training. Mavi had suffered a rib stress fracture in August last year.
Lucknow Super Giants released Press release,
“The well skilled right-arm fast bowler joined our team after the December IPL auction and has been with us since the pre-season camp fully.”
“Both Shivam and the LSG team are deeply disappointed that his IPL season has ended prematurely, especially considering his crucial role within the squad for this 17th season.”
Shivam Mavi said in “X”,
“I hoped to contribute to my team’s success on the field, but unfortunately, my injury has cut my season very short. As a player, it is essential to remain mentally resilient and understand the focus areas during rehabilitation. I believe in our team’s strength and potential and they get succeed.”
