National Bank Open – Naomi Osaka of Japan beat Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur by 6-3, 6-1 on Wednesday in the National Bank Open Canadian Open Tournament.
The 26-year-old Naomi Osaka beat top player Jabeur after her return from maternity leave.

The four-time Grand Slam winner Osaka, who the former No.1 player beat a top-20 player for the fifth time in her return.
Osaka said,
“Everyone knows well, I really love hard courts. I was not thinking too much. It was very instinctual. To be Honestly, while I play the best players, like Ons Jabeur, I tend to play better myself.”

The next match of Osaka is she will face Belgian Elise Mertens in the second round. The previous match of Elise Mertens beat American Katie Volynets by 6-3, 6-1.
The Spanish Paul Badosa, the former second-ranked player making a comeback from a back injury, followed her Washington title Sunday with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Denmark’s Clara Tauson.
Badosa will face fourth-seeded Jelena Ostapenko in her second round.
