Indian Top Order Batsman Shreyas Iyer discharged from hospital and stay in Sydney for further medical evaluation.
The 30-year-old Shreyas Iyer suffered the injury while completing a catch during India’s third ODI match against Australia on October 25.

Indian batter Shreyas Iyer has been discharged from a Sydney hospital after receiving treatment for a blunt abdominal injury. He sustained while fielding during India’s third ODI against Australia on October 25.

BCCI confirmed a statement that India’s ODI vice-captain is stable and recovering well after undergoing a minor procedure and receiving appropriate medical treatment for his injury. He will continue to stay in Sydney for follow-up consultations and will return to India
once he is cleared to travel.
Shreyas sustained the injury while taking a diving catch to dismiss Alex Carey during the final ODI against Australia. He was seen in visible discomfort and left the field for medical assessment. Later, he was admitted to the ICU after his vitals dropped due to internal bleeding.
Doctors later diagnosed a laceration to his spleen. However, Shreyas was soon stabilised and shifted out of the ICU on Monday.
He posted Instagram on Thursday to share an update on his condition,
“I am currently in the recovery process and getting better with each passing day. I am deeply grateful for all the kind wishes and support I’ve received, it truly means a lot. Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts.”
