Karen Khachanov, from Russia will be playing his first final of the season after defeat Alexander Zverev in the Semifinal Canadian Open 2025.
ATP World No.16 player Karen Khachanov staged a comeback from 3-1 down in the final set tiebreak to upset top seed Alexander Zverev 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (7/4) on Wednesday to reach the 2025 Canadian Open final.

The 29-year-old Khachanov, who had fallen short in two previous Canadian Open semifinals, will now compete in his 11th career ATP final.
Taylor Fritz vs Ben Shelton match was paused for sometime before the start due to a problem with the electronic line-calling system, which now controls all aspects of matches.
Khachanov saved a match point at 5-6 in the final set, as world number three Zverev struck a backhand that clipped the top of the net and fell back on his side, allowing the Russian to force a tiebreak.

Karen Khachanov said,
“I had to work out this match, dig deep and try my best.”
“It was really very demanding physically and mentally. We have had a lot of matches and I am happy to beat him after losing some easy ones.”
“Today was a tough day for me and I was match point down. I am just happy things went on my side at the end.”
“While you reach the final tiebreak, you have to play your best. You can’t waste time and energy with negative thoughts, or you won’t get succeed never. We never know what will happen next, but you have to give it a try your best.”
Khachanov seized control of the opening set with a break in the fourth game and maintained his advantage, extending his lead to 5-2 before closing out the set.
He is going to battle with the young American Ben Shelton on Final, match should be fire on court.
